Hi! I'm new to stamp collecting after recently inheriting my grandfather's collection, and thought I would continue with his hobby. I came across this listing in the Scott's guide....

1431 8c Antarctic Treaty
b. Both colors missing (from extraneous paper)

Could someone help me understand what I need to look for regarding extraneous paper? After searching online I'm still stumped what this stamp 1431b should look like.

Thank you!
Crystal

Welcome!

What the term "extraneous paper" refers to is that something - a stray bit of torn paper or other debris - was on top of the sheet when it was printed. It made it through the process and ended up in the post office. Someone purchased the sheet and the paper came off, leaving a blank stamp.
