Hi Rod I've been checking watermarks on some Tasmania stamps. This one doesn't seem right - naturally that could just be me., It's supposed to be watermark 10 a V over a crown. But it seems to be upside down or just not right What do you think?
This is one of the later electrotype printings which were printed on Crown over A paper. SG251 or 259. Watermarks are commonly found inverted and there was a printing with horizontal watermarks.
