On the back of this Queensland 1/2 d there's a marking like green stripes cross crossed.
Anyone know what they are?
Thank you

It's called a burelé band, and I believe the colour for the ˝d you have is meant to be a greenish-blue not green.

The definition of burelé means having a fine network of lines. Some stamps of the Victorian era have a burelé band on the back, such as your stamp.

This will be SG 223 or 225. The shade doesn't look deep enough (on the screen anyway) to be SG 224.

The SG lists the colour as green.

Being partially colour blind doesn't help much, but having a much closer look, I will have to agree that the colour is indeed green.

The proper pronunciation is "boo r-uh-ley".
