Besides the many lives that were lost on the Titanic in 1912 were thousands of pieces of mail and envelopes from the mail room. Does anyone have a link about the mail and stamps that went down with the ship? Does anyone have a Titanic collection of world stamps they can post here honoring the fated ship?

In this link a stamped "TITANIC" ..Letter
Sinking of Titanic
Titanic's claw with registration number "file 5631" on a letter of March 13, 1912 from "Sathonay-Camp" to the United States. Arrival in Washington on March 27, 1912.
This Mark of the Titanic is one of eight existing to date and probably the only one on a stamped letter with a 25 cent blue.
This letter went through Paris before being sent to Cherbourg. It is undoubtedly in Paris that this label has been applied. Due to delays at the construction site, the inaugural trip was moved from March 20 to April 10, 1912. Although announced by the shipowners of the White Star Line in October 1911, this news was not passed on to the staff responsible for the delivery of mail.
In order not to delay this letter by one month, she was put on board another ship

There was an earlier thread showing stamps issued for the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic:

Rogdcam, thank you for the link. It was interesting to read about how the postal workers worked diligently like the wireless operators, cooks, and crew until the bitter end. Everyone still aboard the ship believed they would be saved. It's hard to believe the millions of British, American, Norweigen, and other stamps that were lost.
