These are scott 2593 perf 10. color on left stamp's flag is red and a bright carmine on the other stamps flag. Both printed by BEP. Are these common color varieties?

They are most likely not the same Scott number. I think the left one is a booklet stamp whereas the right one is a sheet stamp.
Hard to tell on my screen since both stamps are shown on a white background rather than black
Furthermore, billions of these have been printed and a small difference in color is acceptable by the BEP

2593 (and its perf 11x10 counterpart, 2593B) were issued only in booklet format. My first thought was that the stamp on the left might be 2593B, but a close look at the perfs says otherwise. The stamp on the left is significantly wider than the one on the right, allowing room for an extra horizontal perf. The stamp on the right displays the red shade with which I am familiar, but then I haven't seen very many of these. I do think that the reds on my 2593 & 2593B may be slightly different, but not to the extent of your two examples.

The perfs are 10 on all perforated sides of each stamp. So that would mean these are 2593 not 2593B. I measured the stamps width and yes the red color is wider by a 1MM. I then checked my other 2593 stamps and their measurements are all over as well. Regardless of color. I also checked tagging and same as well. I have a 2593B and it is red not the bright carmine color.
