Greetings!

Ladies and Gentlemen!

The question is the next...

If you have a high value stamp...or stamps...with good looking...

how do you sell it?

or I could ask where do you sell it?

Actually, I'd be wondering what are the top spots..(places).....where I can sell and I can do the best out of it...(my stamp or stamps)

I mean...example....you go and give a profesional auction house somewhere...

or you put it on internet some fancy online auction site?

Some fancy elite place....???....or you sell your own on web.....????

what do you think? what is the best way to get the best out of your sales?

what do you do?

where would you announce to get the best out of it?

where are you going? where you sell it?

what are the best places? (top places) (to your opinion)

Join the American Philatelic society if you are not already a member, and look into their stamp store sales and/or their circuit sales program. These are successful ways to sell (and buy) stamps.

I sell through various auction houses in the USA depending on the type of material.

ebay is a venue used by some.

Delcampe is another option in Europe.

Its always nice if you can find a way to minimize your expenses (such as an auction houses' sellers premium)when selling.

Keep in mind that most, if not all, large auction houses have a minimum consignment value, which also makes on-line selling attractive.

If you're hell-bent on using an auction house, for the really high-end stuff I would go with Siegel. Otherwise, Sparks Auctions in Ottawa would be worth checking out.

In addition to those venues already mentioned, I would also take a look at the HipStamp site. There are already several large, well-known sellers using that site, which is a relative new-comer new to stamp e-commerce, having replaced the StampWants site (and Stanley Gibbons' pathetic attempt at running it in-between).

https://www.hipstamp.com/

Also, for the really valuable stamps being sold on-line, a certificate always increases buyer-confidence (as well as the price, generally speaking).
