I've been fortunate in this regard. A while back I was telling a friend that I had just gotten six bankers boxes of philatelic literature and dumped them in the middle of the living room. He raised the question "What did your wife say?" She sews. I explained that I had parked them next to her five boxes of fabric without a word from her. |

Yes. My wife's craft room makes my office neat. I get some ideas from crafting and crafting has some neat tools. |

My wife used to have a problem with my stamp addiction, but now not so much. We are both retired and have given up on our collecting hobbies (except of course my stamps). Full disclosure...I'm really picky about what I buy and really tight on my spending. Not strapped for cash makes it all easier (not to spend money). I'm always looking for a bargain, and they seem harder and harder to get. I do have a specific area into which I do my collecting so I guess that helps. Cheers! Wolf-==- |

With my wife to!! She simply hates my stamps and that I want to spend time with them rather than her. Someday I might go for the solution mentioned by mount-this So, in order to try to avoid too much of her complaints, I'm not keeping any dups at all. Floortrader - seems like your dups are well organised, neat |

I have my "man loft" upstairs, my partner has his movie room/solarium for reading downstairs. No muss, no fuss, no conflict. Life is good |

Yep. She couldn't care less. Doesn't even care about stamps with Vizslas on them. |

You guys get it ALL wrong... you need to find women with the same likes! My boyfriend and I BOTH like cars, trains, antiques, etc. I even keep dropping hints about the S&W Model 66 .357MAG I want...................................... |

Yeah, I know what it's like to "live with" your spouse's hobby. My ex-wife was a knitter. "Ooooh... another scarf! Um, thank you!" |

Mount-this: That appears to be an extremely well-behaved dog. My dog would have those album pages shredded in a heartbeat. Which is why the door to my "stamp-cave" remains closed when not in use. I can't count the number of times that I've returned home to find shredded magazines & newspapers. It took time, but he finally has me trained ... any item containing paper is placed well above ground level once I'm done using it. |
