Good Evening,

I'm hoping to get an opinion on these 1900 Germany 1m, 2m, 3m and 5m stamps. I'm not fluent in German and I don't know anything about possible reprints or types. I'm wondering if they are forgeries please. I have a Michel catalogue but unfortunately it's all in German read only PDF format.

1m

2m

3m

5m

Thanks for looking as always

Much appreciated - hope I helped someone else by posting these close up scans of German forgeries.

UPDATE: I'm confused - Is this a reprint or a forgery? Reprints to me are common reprinted stamps - printed at a later date - but not fake or forgeries.

QUOTE FROM WEBSITE:

"Shown above are a set of modern reprints of the Mark values. Aside from the word "nachdruck" printed on the back, the quality of the reprints is very poor, when compared with the original German Empire 1900 printings."

They look like the reprints. If they are not marked as such I consider them forgeries. Others may not. Unless marked they could be sold as genuine to an uneducated buyer.

This pdf is a nice English introduction to using Michel:

I'm pretty sure they intend this to be freely distributed.

Souldjer777 'nachdruck' can mean 'after-print' or 'reprint' in German.
