Azores Prince Henry The Navigator Cancel

Just an interesting short set. These are the Portugal stamps known as Prince Henry the Navigator issue. On March 4, 1894, they were issued by the Azores with "Acores" overprint. What I find interesting is that this pair has a matching cancellation for the 500th anniversary. This is a normal cancel, right? Perfect SON examples.

What do you know about the provenance of those stamps, please?
I mean, if I have a good memory, I read that far fewer anniversary stamps did circulate on the Azores islands themselves and I believe those cancellations were containing the names (abreviated) of any of the three administrative districts of the time.
The two in your picture, in my opinion, are part of the main lot, made to be sold to collectors in Portugal. If, again, I have a good memory, I believe I read about several reprints done by Portuguese Post, for about a decade. [Well, my memory might be wrong, of course ...]

I know zero about the provenance of these stamps. I picked them up in a box lot just recently. I admit that the SON cancel looks as if it was made just for collectors, and probably in Portugal, as you suggest. I'll assume a very small premium over the normal stamp. Thanks for your comments.

They're normal in the sense that they were the commemorative cancel used to provide used sets to collectors. They're all pretty much SOTN.
