Some nice examples of postal history... came just from a German estate, never have been seen by philatelists.
1. Union Postale Universelle, Hong Kong card, a "Reply" part used for writing a message to Leipzig, Germany on March, 2th 1900.
Original card has been surcharged 4 cents (in black) on 3 cents, which was sufficient for a Worldwide shipping. However the sender added a 10 cents HK stamp for a "Registered Mail". An that is not all... on the other side is a hand-painted picture of Chinese Junk. Shanghai postmarks.
Possibly the best and the most unique Asian stationery card I ever had!

2. This one is a Shanghai Municipality stationery card from 1896. It has been issued in nominations of 1 and 2 cents. This one is 1 cent, but, as I can find out, it has not be used for international shipping (just for a local), so the sender added 2 x 2 cents stamps to cover the 4 cents shipping to Germany. Shanghai and Hong Kong postmarks.
