From 1935 to 1937 Guatemala issued a set of 15 "interior", gravure-printed airmail stamps. Here is the 2 centavos, low value (Sc #C32) from the set. Lake Amatitlan is depicted. From wikipedia, Lake Amatitlan is a lake located within the Amatitlan caldera in south central Guatemala fairly close to Guatemala City. It lies in the central highlands, 1186 meters (3890 ft.) above sea level."  |

On March 7, 1994 Luxembourg issued a set of two, 14 fr stamps of landscape paintings by native sons. One of these stamps (Sc #908) depicting Stretch of the Moselle at Greiveldange with Stadtbredimus (1930) by Nico Klopp (1894 -1930) is shown here. Klopp is best known "for his post-impressionist paintings of scenes on the River Moselle where he lived" (wikipedia).  |

Jordan Nature Reserves of Jordan June 23, 2021 Azraq Wetland Reserve is located in the town of Azraq in the eastern desert of Jordan. It provides a resting place for some 300 species of migratory birds. The Reserve was established in 1978 and is now in a severe state of decline, with only 10% of its original size remaining.  |
