Hamilton Stamp Auction And Bourse
2009 November 6
The Hamilton Stamp Club, Hamilton, Ontario Canada, is having the annual Fall auction and bourse, Friday evening, Nov.6 and Sat. Nov. 7, 2009.
There are two auctions on Friday night. A silent auction and then a voice auction. Both auctions have upwards of 500 lots each. The silent auction has smaller lots starting at 50 cents. The voice auction has been known to have lots worth in the $1000's. That doesn't happen often though.
The members of the Grand River Valley Philatelic Society will also be bring their clubs sales circuit books to the auction on Friday night. The GRVPA is a group of 14 clubs in the Southern Ontario area.
Sat. there are several smaller silent auctions, and the bourse. We have 20 dealers, and the Hamilton club will also still be selling from their sales books.
Sales books are members stamps put in for sale, with the clubs keeping a small percentage for selling them.
There will be refreshments both Friday evening and Sat. afternoon. Lots of free parking, and very easy to access for all walkers, wheelchairs and scooters.

Location is Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School, Quigley and Albright, Hamilton Ontario.
Times: Friday viewing starts at 5pm. Silent auction starts then, and runs until 7:15. Voice auction starts at 7:30pm.
Sales circuit books are open until 10pm.
Sat. the bourse runs from 10am until 4pm.
There is also a youth booth on Sat.

Everyone is welcome. No charge to get in. If you are in the area please stop by.
Check out the club website by searching for Hamilton Stamp Club. It's a good sight with all the information about meetings and shows. We also have a spring show in April.

Hope to see you there.
Suzanne.

I'd have to be bad lost to show up in Ontario, but believe me I'd love the opportunity to make a visit! Maybe if I hit the lottery?

Hi laswabbie.
If you ever get lost and show up in Ontario, I hope you let me know so we can get together and talk stamps awhile.
It's always a pleasure to meet other collector friends.

Hamilton club has two shows/auctions a year. The spring show is in April. Get out there and get some lottery tickets. Here is a typical Friday night auction. This is just the voice auction. There is about the same amount for the silent one. .
