Japan 1909 Revenue 10 Sen Vermilion - Sewing Machine Cancel?

I believe I have a "Japan 1909 Revenue 10 sen vermilion" with the sewing machine puncture cancel - but I'm not sure what exactly that means.

I'm not sure this helps too much, but Iceland also used sewing machine cancels to deface regular postage stamps used for revenue purposes (e.g. put onto documents, etc.). Maybe this is the same sort of thing?

The cancellation reads as �gTax Office�h (right) and �gemblem of cancellation�h (left); I have posted several examples of similar sewing machine cancellations from Osaka Health Science Institute on general revenues, including the same 10 sen stamp in another forum.
