The title (lower left) is "Gakuto Shutsujin" (The Students' Departure for the Front). The artist is Mitsuru Suzuki (lower right). The picture represents the mobilization of Japanese students in 1943 to compensate for a shortage of soldiers. Here's the Japanese Wikipedia article on the subject:

https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%A...%BA%E9%99%A3

Here's a relevant article in English (see especially page 779):

The title of the first card is "Hokyu" (Releasing the Pigeons), and the artist is Kofu ISHII (ISHII is the family name). The signature only says "Kofu" but I found the full name by doing a Google search. Both "Hokyu" and "Kofu" have long o's and long u's, but this forum doesn't support letters with macrons (long marks).

The title of the second card is "Kita no Seiei" (Northern Elite), and the artist is Teiji TAKAI.

I can't read all the characters on the third card. Can you provide a larger (and perhaps clearer) scan of those?

Thanks, that did the trick. The title is "Akatsuki no Toka" (River-Crossing at Dawn), and the artist is Kanji YONEDA.

I have no idea about catalogs or values. I can just decipher the writing — if it's clearly written or printed — with the aid of my arsenal of reference books and Google.
