I have been using Stamps2Go to pick up less expensive sets and singles to fill spaces. One thing I am noticing. Sellers on there lately seem to be extremely slow in filling orders. I am still waiting for some made in early February. I usually get ebay purchases in a week. Anyone else notice this? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Let's MOVE this to the ECOMMERCE forum -- I bet it will get more comments there.

I made three purchases in January. Two orders showed up about a week after ordering. The other took almost a month to arrive. |

There is no reason for anything taking more than a week after purchase to have it posted by the Post Office . You need to slap some of those sellers around a bit . I can understand a vacation notice or a family emergency once in a while . After a week ask for a refund ,that will get the stuff shipped within a day . |

I sometimes think there may be a different attitude on the part of STG sellers than that of ebay. ebay sellers seem to think of their activity as more of a business. On the other platform it just seems to be a lot of sellers with laid back attitudes. 'I'll mail it whenever' sort of thing. I have some messages going out later today after my mail arrives... |

More than just attitude, IMO. ebay, the platform, is constantly hammering fast order fulfillment. It's drummed into sellers nonstop. Plus buyers can leave ratings on seller speed in shipping orders. It has an effect. |

My experience with S2G has been very long delivery times. Just about the point I assume the items have been lost, stolen or I was stiffed, they show up. I'd say average of 3-5 weeks. I've had better luck with HipStamps and it has become my first stop for purchases.

My experience with delivery time for my purchases on S2G is exactly the opposite of others posting here. In general, I have gotten a notification of a shipping date within one day and have received the stamps in a very reasonable time. Delivery from US sellers in 3-5 business days and about 14 days from Canada.

I often get mailing notices almost immediately after sending payment to a STG seller, even late on a Sunday evening. It's sort of a joke. |

I have experienced both extremes with S2G. All depends on the person I think. |

I placed a pretty large order about 2 weeks ago, I'm still waiting for my Paypal invoice. |

Quote: I placed a pretty large order about 2 weeks ago, I'm still waiting for my Paypal invoice. Wow! that's hard to believe, they must not be that interested in getting the money. So if a collector was looking to sell off part of his collection or a bunch of duplicates, would we say that ebay is still the best venue to sell? How about the APS StampStore? I often buy from there. |

I placed four purchase orders on 3-31 and 4-1. As of today, only one shipment received. All four vendors replied right away that the orders had been 'mailed'. ON STG I think that means they are aware of the order and will get to it when they get the time. If any are still hanging out there by midweek I plan to contact the site administrator. This is ridiculous and appears to be getting more so as time goes by. It is a far different selling culture than ebay. More like a swapping group or something. |

I use to sell on S2G. The most likely problem for slow delivery is that S2G has a very weak notification to seller of buyer purchases. Consequently, sellers may miss a purchase order if they are not daily diligent on checking with S2G. If you sell on many sites, and they send you buyer purchase emails, you tend to forget about S2G. I finally quite selling on S2G over that issue. |
