I've been looking for a place where I can see a scan of the stamp I want before I commit to buying. I've had poor luck with Mystic and Golden Valley. In the former, I get many stamps with very heavy cancellations, and in the latter, there are only a few that I can find that I need. Today I tried HipStamp and I got accurate scans for each stamp I wanted. There are no bargains, one gets what one pays for and that's as it should be. There are many sellers offering stamps on this site, and the shipping can be costly if one buys from several sellers at once. But if one is looking for quality (as I am), this is the place (IMHO).

I've found hipstamp to be good for accurate scans, but shipping is costly unless lots are combined and it takes extra clicks/taps to reveal shipping fees. ebay seems to be the best I've come across. I've never bought from a catalogue service like Mystic or Malack's.
I've found with HipStamp that if use only one seller at a time the shipping is very affordable (and sometimes free). Go to "Stores" on that site and select the seller. ebay has some fine sellers but also some real rip-off artists.
Good sellers are to be found on Hipstamp. I am fond of one in particular who sells what I need at very reasonable prices and shipping is free. Spend a few minutes looking around at the people selling what you are looking for. It will really pay off. I almost use Hipstamp exclusively.
I've been very happy with Hipstamp, after more than 20 transactions. The search function is very easy to use. There are indeed bargains to be had--for any given country/scott number there may be as many as 75 separate offers. Just pick the one you like. Some give more information on the stamp than others. One thing to keep in mind. When checking out, the program buys all the stamps in your basket, regardless of how many separate sellers. That can indeed bring high total shipping charges, because stamps are coming from multiple places. To avoid this, just click on "pay only this seller" upon checkout. In other words do them one at a time, or just pick which you want. Some sellers have sales, and there is a place on start page where you can just look at sale items.
