I did some searches. I'm sure it's here somewhere. I'm looking for a nice explanation of how to perform the Srail test to check perfs. Thanks.

Import image to image editor. Paint works. Using rectangular selection, crop perfs of any side at end of perf tips and a portion of margin, copy the selection, paste the selection.
Now you can align the pasted selection to the opposite side of the stamp, or rotate it to align the other sides.

I use Paint.

Use of another stamp with the same gauge perfs is also a very good method.

There is no need to "flip" the image. The description of the procedure seems unnecessarily complex to me. Using an editor like Photoshop Elements, it is possible to lift an image of the stamp and place it in another layer that can be moved around and overlaid on top of the original image or some other image, preferably scanned with the same device.

Some genuine perforations, some maybe not. Analysis required:



Imperf Scott 346V imperf coil with fake perforations added to resemble Scott 350:
