Would a color shift of this 'F' coil be considered minor and of little value, or would it pass muster as a major shift with some value? Thanks.

Ernie, color shifts like this are not unusual. You can probably find some on ebay under EO's. It's value is most likely somewhere around $15.00 - $25.00 in my opinion.

OK, thanks. I saw a couple of items on ebay with similar shifts.

I might add that this is just the plate strip of 5, which I removed from the roll of 100 'F' stamps before noticing the shift. I kept the rest of the roll, too, because all of the stamps on the roll had this color shift.

I suggest in that case that you not strip any more from your roll. You might sell a longer strip to someone interested!

That is a nicer shift than is usually seen for this issue. What is the plate number (can't read it from the image)

Thanks, Peter, I haven't touched this roll since 1991. And I find I was mistaken, I actually removed 2 PNC's of 5 before I noticed the shift. eyeonwall, the plate number is 1222.
