So does this stamp have a mark joining the lower right diamond and frame line? Also top left rosette something in the ink? Is left bottom diamond damaged? Not sure if these are common or if I am flyspecking! Trying to see if what I see amounts to anything or just oddities!

Do you mean the frame line below?
If so, that's a guide dot, which is a remnant from a transfer roll setting, probably making this a B-relief.

Ok thanks! So that is a guide dot at lower right. So how about the other lower corner is the diamond deformed? And did something get under the ink left of the inner dot of the rosette?

This is a worn impression Plate 1L stamp.

I think plate wear is likely the answer to your questions.
