At first glance, I don't see any evidence of photoshopping but haven't bothered to compare the rarity items with known auction house images, but the images are too crappy to begin with to really tell much.
But when you see a lot that showcases high-dollar rarities next to damaged run-of-the-mill cheap stamps, that should set off alarm bells.
Biggest red flag is in the listing text saying PayPal account was stolen, and to contact them for the payment method. I bet they will say payment via bank account transfer, Western Union, or some other method that offers no buyer protection. |

I store all of my 2c Hawaiian Missionaries just like this. Also that 3c 1851 with Used and Done for cancel, is a big rarity right next to a junky C1. No-one is this eclectic. |

I can't find alot of sympathy here...any moron bidding here deserves what they get. There's so much wrong about this it isn't even funny...but can't feel bad for any real bidders - if there are any 'real' bidders here... |

Quote: Returns: Seller does not accept returns I guess that won't be a problem if he doesn't have anything to deliver in the first place, except some jpeg images. The idea that these types of so-called sales, are a way to launder money seems like the best explanation I've seen for this kind of otherwise apparent madness. |

I am surprised no one has set up a BUYER/SELLER website off of ebay that lets others know of scams ,frauds and con-games that happen on ebay .First it would have to have a members only access to save problems with lawsuits {members are free to discuss these frauds between themselves without a lawyer threating anyone}. There was a fellow who done this about 30 years ago ,I paid $15.00 a year for his newsletters and it told about all the bad buyers in the mail order business and any problems advertisers had in the philatelic newspapers . It saved me 4 or 5 times of sending stuff out to previous problem buyers. The biggest was NSF checks and customer who never received the shipment {one guy bought 6 or 7 different orders from different sellers and claim a refund each time.} |

I have a novel idea. ebay stops allowing sellers such as this one and the cartel/Philip Ryle to continue. Oh, wait a minute! They don't care. Silly me. There are bargains to be had though. LOL |
