Hello,

I acquired this in kiloware-ftom Bhutan- it is kind of 3D and is not a stamp- air mail. Does it have any philatelic value?
I'm a newbie so any help would be greatly appreciated:)
PS. Sorry for bad scan
Jamie

Well, it is a stamp. This is even Scott-listed nowadays, #220J from the 1976 Masks set. Bhutan did a number of sets in this 3D/lenticular style, obviously a gimmick to sell stamps to collectors. Some have been used on postal covers, although generally by stamp dealers located in nearby Nepal.

Don't worry, Jamie; you're not the only one who thinks these are not really stamps

There are long-standing doctrinal disputes amongst collectors as to whether/not this-or-that item issued by this-or-that country is "truly" collectible.

This forum (thankfully) adheres to an inclusive "to each, his own" / "collect what you want" rule, so your Bhutanese "3D" stamp can be trash, or treasure, as you prefer.

Worse, yet, you could even change your mind, like, tamara.

Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey
