Sorry for being obtuse. Tang stamps are the manufacturer's mark put on the tang (the base of the blade) on pocket knives. Knife collectors live and die based on tang stamps because they allow one to identify the maker and date the knife.
I happen to collect pocket knives as well as stamps and I thought you might be one of us. What is the origin of your "TangStamps" handle?
