It's been a while since I've ordered anything from Stanley Gibbons, but I have ordered several books, catalogs, and a few supplies from them in the past.
I just tried to login to my account only to find it has apparently been deleted.
I know I haven't forgotten my username/password because I have them stored in a password manager. Nevertheless, I clicked on the "forgot my password link."
When I entered my password, the message said "IF there is an account with that email, a link will be sent." No email arrived.
Now my only option is to create a new account -- and lose my order history, preferences, saved addresses, etc.
Disappointint !!!

Nothing would surprise me where Gibbons is involved. Probably simply the latest bonehead move of management. |

You do not need an account to order from them. I understand the OP's concern about his saved information, but some companies do not keep you active if you haven't ordered in a certain time. |

Further, in Europe, the GDPR effective in May is changing everything. They may have received advice that since they have not received express consent from you to hold this information, they need to remove it and add it back only after obtaining GDPR compliant consent after full disclosure of their privacy practices. An email to them would clear this up. |

@CJPALERMO -- good point about the GDPR; I am aware of those regulations, but it didn't occur to me.
Brasil, looking back at emails, my last order was February 2017.

GDPR change makes sense, but one would think they would/should have notified you about resubmitting info. I'd think they'd still consider you a viable customer. Otherwise, it seems rather hasty. 2 years of inactivity might be more like it as addresses and credit card info can change easily in that timeframe. |

With all the data breaches going on, I wonder how secure the SG website is.
