Busy with a making up my own "Word Wide Page a Country Album", all stamp issuing authorities,973 pages worth, Will post a draft copy soon for comments and suggestions. Don't know if there would be anyone interested in an album like this, but will make it available once it is finished. my thinking is a person can print the pages they need, will most probably add blank pages in for extra space if needed. Ideal for someone starting out with a whole lot of loose stamps from all over, youngsters and adults alike.

I applaud your motivation and desire to give back to the community.

What app will you use to develop the pages? I recommend that you use a good app like Adobe LiveCycle Designer which supports all the PDF layouts tools you will need. Doing a large effort like this in a app which is not designed to develop native PDFs would not be the best choice.

Will you allow users to customize the original work to their own tastes? Are you going to add details to each page which includes a brief sumamry of outline of the country? Images? Perhaps you should consider developing a single page and then post it asking for input. (Better to get this kind fo feedback before you invest hours and hours into the rest of the pages.)

If you would like any help with this development I would be happy to assist. I would also be happy to post your final effort on Stamp Smarter if desired.

Thank you Don here is a page so far I'm using Libreoffice writer and most probably migrate it to MS word its just a simple page wasn't thinking of anything elaborate, but putting in the individual info for 972 pages is a bit daunting for me, putting in images doubly so.
here is a sample. but this is still early stages, don't have the means to afford adobe products will have a look at Scribus see if I can do something in there.any help would be much appreciated.

I did a simple mail merge from a CSV file with country name and issuing dates.the border is opensource clipart.

If someone can give me a CVS file with a little info on each country that would make life a lot easier to add the info.

I was thinking more something like this...

I designed this demo page in Adobe LiveDesigner in <10 minutes. It was based upon a 'Master Page' that can be reused for additional pages. (Obviously I just grabbed some image and text from online sources and more care would be needed to develop original content for a real page.)

With a 'one stamp per country' album I think the pages need additional content and details to make the pages stand out and to not look stark.

The page looks great, I was thinking more of a page of stamps for a country. Maybe put a very light grid so you can align the stamps or mounts, I downloaded the Smithsonian stamp a country album, but yours looks a lot better. let me put a n example together so you can see what Im thinking off.

Here is my example thought, the heading with a description and a pic of the flag/coat of arms and one of the stamps here its No1.
then you can place your stamps on the page.

Don,

I think your page goods great and the content of text and pictures are nicely balanced. Perfect for a "one stamp for every country" kind of album. Guess the question is which stamp to place there?

Obviously play around with the formatting fonts etc. just a rough draft I put together for illustrative purposes, can mount sets part sets etc
just stamps you have lying around with no where to put them. or as a beginner album.
