For my France collection, I have a number of stamps with photo certificates from APS, Roumet, Behr, and others. The main collection is in Lighthouse hingeless albums. My initial impulse was to place the stamps in the albums, carefully labeling them with Yv or Sc catalogue numbers so I could tie them back to a specific certificate. Now I'm thinking it would be better to keep the actual stamp stored with the certificate (perhaps in a safe or bank box) and just put a photocopy in the album. What do you do with stamps having certificates?

I mount them in the albums on new pages (added behind the stamp).

I have a sleeve in the back of the album. I put a note under the stamp to remind me which have certs.

Thanks, Don. Had not thought of adding a clear plastic pocket on the back of the album page and keep the cert there.

I too have a clear sleeve for certs - albeit in the front of each album. I used to mount the stamp and cert together, but I wound up having to make too many new pages that way. Now I just add a red "certified" label beneath each stamp that has a cert in the sleeve.

ditto on adding a clear page protector to the back of the album to hold the certs. I punch appropriate holes in the sleeve based on the album that I'm using.

The best way to do this is using stock books. You can exhibit both the way you want. *** Edited by Staff - Please Review the rules that you agreed to when you registered. ***

As I do my own pages for specific Countries (ex: Canada) I copy the cert and put it in with my page and also keep the original.
