I have been looking for the Newfoundland 1932 30c - Line Perf 14 for probably 20 years. (SG 220c. Unitrade 198c).

Here is a picture of the Perf 13.5 version of this stamp.

The Perf 14 version of this stamp seems to be either so rare that it barely exists, or I don't know where to look. I have tried all of the larger Canadian dealers and auction sites as well as the Canadian dealers who come to Chicago for various shows. No one has one, or can ever tell me they have even seen one.

I assume it exists based on the catalog entries, but would like someone to tell me they have seen one, or better if they have one for sale.

Hi KGVIStamps

This Scott 198 (195 N.S.S.C.) catalog comes in a 14.2 x 14.2 perforation and a 13.5 x 13.5.

I would consider it pretty common..At least according to the books.

I will look for it at the stamp club (next) Monday night, there are two NFLD dealers there..If I find one, I will post it for you.

Robert

Thanks Robert.

Just to be clear, I have the Perf 13.5 version.
I am looking for the Line Perf 14 variety image only. (14.2 x 14.2)

KGVI,

Good one! I only collect Newfoundland and your posting got me motivated to open my safe and check all my copies. I've got 4 of this one and one on a cover, but alas, they are all 13.5.

Curse you, because I'll have to add this to my list. I'll be in Quebec for BNAPs with John Walsh and the famous Rob Moore--so if I can find two, i'll let you know

Cheers,

Thanks, but it really looks like a comb perf to me. All of the corners are nice and trim without the more ragged look of the line perf. Here is an example showing the difference. You have to look at the corners to see the difference.
