Here is one that is known as a constant plate variety. It is from Plate 1, position 12. Best way to find it is an upper left plate block as the plate flaw in this plate block will be on the bottom right stamp in a block of four.

Detail shows a nice long fine scratch easily seen in the beard.

Good find watermark..I don't know how I didn't pick that up..Will have to go hunting for one now....

Good eye buddy.

Robert

P.S. - Another weird thing the designer did on this stamp was to place clouds in front of the telephone pole above his head..Could be low lying clouds..haha

Wow! I'm impressed. It takes very close attention to detail to notice that.

I prefer constant plate varieties over flyspecks for sure.

Jogil, I am a "flyspecker" and if I can give any excuse for this behavior ? Over the past several years I have found numerous constant varieties looking for flyspecks. Plate cracks, engraver's slips, just to name a few.
I believe both are helpful
