I'm happy because I want to upgrade from my double sided pony express album. No more hinges or black mounts.

I think this album costs >$100 brand new.

I reckon $12 would be a pretty good price for the binder, let alone with leaves.

I bought a Mystic hingeless part one last year. I became disenchanted with it for reasons I narrated in another thread. I love the layout and the paper quality, binder is also nice. The mounts were awful. Most stuck out from the page when I placed stamps in them. In time I concluded they must be some sort of knockoff products. That may explain how they can offer a hingeless album so cheaply. I wound up buying the pages without mounts (special order) and attaching my own. On the first section I used Davo Easy Mounts clear. No problems such as with the factory supplied ones.

If the OP encounters the same thing, use sheet protectors. Your experience may differ, I hope so.

I've also been thinking about this album, but since I've never seen one up close, I have a question. Does it include all stamps for those years? For example, does it include spots for duck stamps, air mail, postage due, etc.?

The lot I purchased above came with general postage and airmail (up to # C19) only.

The album has Scott numbers under each space, it is pretty complete other than for rarities. I mentioned my dislike of the mounts in it. I managed to buy a set of part one pages (1847-1935) without mounts and have been attaching Davo self adhesive mounts and the overall effect looks great!

When I am finished with this project I may post an offer to sell the factory hingeless pages. The mount thing is probably just my own hangup but I think someone else would have fewer issues. Not for awhile yet, however.

One thing I've noticed thus far is a few of the hingeless mounts are upside down! I put stamps in there anyway and it seems like they will hold in place. I wonder if Mystic will replace my pages with upside down mounts?

Did you buy it from Mystic? Why would they replace second hand pages?
