Poll Question:
I have always wanted to ask this question:

Do You Post Topical Stamps You Do Not Actually Own?

Personally, I only post stamps I own/owned.

How about YOU? :-)

Choices:
YES - any topical stamp image is fair game, doesn't matter if I own it
NO - I only post stamps I actually own/owned
MIX - a bit of each

Great question. I've often wondered.

I've only posted images of items that I own in the Topical Stamp Collecting forum, and that's my general rule in the rest of SCF, as well. Sometimes I'll post an image of something I don't own to make a point or show "one that got away," but 95% of my uploaded images are of things in my own collection.

I've been wondering too. I thought it was kind of an "unwritten" rule, to only post stamps and coins you own.

I just post images of the stamps that I actually own, when scanning them; but, later, I might have traded them.

Wow, so far I am surprised that most folks do INDEED post stamps they own! I thought we'd be the minority! BUT, the poll is still young..............

I only post my own stuff; sometimes, I'll add (with attribution) an image related to the item I am posting about.

Cheers,

Whenever I've posted images online, they have been scans of items I own. I don't see the purpose of 'acquiring and showing off' stamps vicariously -- unless it's for illustrative purposes with something you have that has a variation you haven't been able to find. But the primary focus, I think, should be philatelic material you have collected.

I scan all my topical stamps and display my collections online, so naturally I only post those.

Yes, all of my postings are my stamps and covers, with one exception that I can recall...it was that strange little U.S. NATO commemorative from the early '50s.

Hi.
Of the series and topics that I collect, you show them all, the ones I have and the ones I lack.
The images I take from anywhere to avoid scanning.
When you show my sheets mounted, if they're my pieces.
I don't really have anything special.
Regards.
