Stamperix mentioned a week or two ago that he found finding information on Stamp Smarter challenging at times.

In the past this would have been addressed by building more complex website menus. But new responsive site design guidelines frown upon building 'deep' or multi-level menus since many users now use small displayed devices like tablets and smarter phones. (Navigating a complex, multi-level menu can be quite difficult when you are trying to use your finger instead of a mouse.)

Additionally Stamp Smarter is a very large website and the shear number of web pages is pretty over whelming (650+ html pages, 1600+ PHP files, 350+ ASP files, and over 70,000 image files).

So to supplement the existing Search page a new 'sitemap' page has now also been added. (A 'sitemap' is a listing of the pages on a website.) The list is a bit long, but you can use the 'Find On This page' feature of your browser to quickly find the information you may be looking for. The list contains a link (page title), short page description, and date the page was last modified.

Members, just hit F3, and type in your query.

"Hinges" bring up 8 instances, highlighted. for example.

An amazing piece of work...Bravo! Don.

thank you, Don, for this idea. Indeed there are so many sites on stampsmarter that it would be great if the visitor would find the information better. At least Google makes a great job already if a beginner just searches any US stamp information and likely gets on your page. Your sitemap is a great start (maybe a beginner does not know for what you new link is if he does not know the term sitemap, maybe something like "Sitemap - List of all topics at Stampsmarter" or something like that?

Don't want to bother you, just my two other suggestions should be kept on the feedback list for stampsmarter: site titles showing in the stampsmarter search results (Google does), and list of "Popular sites" - you could perhaps even cheat a little bit and put them on the search page and call them "Popular searches".

I gave you some links in the other thread, but it would be great if other members here would give their opinion: which sites on Stampsmarter are you visiting the most, and don't always find directly, so which links should be a "popular link" or "popular search"?
