Thanks. The photo was taken with a Galaxy Note 5. It's 16 megapixel camera is one of the best in the business and I hardly have need to scan stamps any more.

This stamp came from an old-time lot of used stamps in a pick book. At first it looked like a killer cancellation, and I probably would have passed it bye if not for the old-time article I read previously.

I have a few other things of interest, and will post some more over the coming weeks.

Thanks for showing it, Alan. Would not have guessed a cell phone cam.
Are you willing to give us a more complete reference on the "old-time article?"


I'll be at the Chicago Collector's Club next Thursday and would like to look at that reference. May I?
