Good Evening,

This stamp actually made me laugh out loud when I saw the advertisement on the back. No disrespect, I just hadn't seen something like that before. I was hoping someone could give me the going rate for a New Zealand 1888-95 1s 12 x 11.5 stamp.

Assuming that I have correctly IDed it as Sc 67, it catalogs in fine condition for $12.75.

I was not aware that any one shilling stamps have advertising on them. For a collector, I would think that the Scott value is not a true measure of value here.

The advertising will command a premium. I believe they're highly sought after.

The 2018 Stanley Gibbons lists these.

Yours is SG 203b (brown-purple advert, third setting, issued September 1893) and is valued in used condition at £75

These are known as New Zealand adsons. Put that into google and you will find much information.

I agree. I collect these and in my experience about 1 in 20 have an advertisement on the reverse. Quite and interesting piece of postal history
