Just received the Details pamphlet yesterday (late as usual) and noticed that the Personalized Mail indicia on the address side was completely covered by a transparent sticker.

Any ideas why?

Here're the French and English versions - different style.

I'm willing to bet that there is a faulty English indicia under that sticker.

The English indicia that's showing is exactly the same as yours, sak.
So its either covering up a faulty one as you are suggesting or perhaps none was originally printed on my copy of Details and so they taped one on?
Though I don't see any signs of it being cut off something else.

pwscg...
I agree with your second suggestion.
A horizontal sticker would not physically cover up a vertical one.
It would cover up the generic international/bilingual (no-picture) one, but why bother? It was probably left off.

I held mine up to a strong light and printed under the sticker I could read "Non-priority" with "Non-prioritoire" printed below. To the right there was a Canada Post symbol with " Canada Post" printed in English and French on either side of it. The sticker was used to cover up the mistake.

Ah yes! I see the "Non-priority" text though I can't quite make out the Canada Post symbol part.
Thanks for that, EasyOne.

Just rec'd my USA copy:

Increased the contrast a bit to see the sticker!
I don't think there's anything underneath.
The mystery continues.

Sak, I received mine (English) today. It looks like yours, but is definately not transparent. It actually goes a little above the red line. The background is very light grey. I will scan when I get home.
