wert. Sorry for the delay in replying. I have only had a quick look through it. It looks quite thorough. Click on the Letter O section for OHMS. Not sure if the pictures are actual stamp size. If yes you could print the page and make templates.

Good luck. They will keep you busy for a while.

Thanks dynamode

Not quite what I am looking for..BNAPS article does not show details like re-entries, etc...I was looking for detailed book for varieties like N.S.S.C. is for Newfoundland, or Pre-canel book, etc.

Robert

Why I need a more detailed book is shown below...OC9 has 2 perfin sizes holes which may be because the smaller perpetrator pins brook to often and introduced a bigger, more sturdy version...See comparison below.

And there are some pretty weird perfins, like below with extra holes

Did you find any five hole OHMS issues, or are they all the four hole ones like your examples?

I only have about 20 GVI. I have largely ignored them up to now. My SG albums do not have pages for them.

Unitrade mentions one variety, missing pin in S on the 5 hole H. The reference book they mention is the 10th edition of the catalogue and guidebook of canadian official stamps, published by j & m publishing co ltd.

I have the Standard Precancel 2010 6th edition. The set of 3 Robson Lowe BNA Encyclopedias. Holmes Specialised 1968 11th ed revised. BNA fakes forgeries & counterfeits 3 volumes BY Pugh. Reading is not my strong point anymore but if you need any info from them, let me know.

Robert, you're going to need a copy of Roy Wrigley's handbook on these. Wrigley was the leading researcher on the OHMS stamps and also responsible for forging them. Copies of the handbook ar fairly easy to find on ebay or among dealers.

Absolutely. His research and studies are not affected by his later activities.

I can't speak to this example, but over time, there have been quite a few forgers who have written otherwise pretty useful books. The more skilled the faker, the more you have to know.
