This site has only been around for a couple of years & the items on display are mouth-watering to say the least.

One area that is easy to miss but which contains a wealth of info about Poland no.1 is on the right of the page under "Katalogi".

"Katalogi aukcyjne" are auction catalogues, bet you didn't know that Simon Wiesenthal had a nice collection of Poland no.1.

Under "Katalogi wystawowe" we have "150 lat Polskiego Znaczka Pocztowego" by the late Zbigniew Mikulski which is bilingual so is a must read for English speaking collectors. Stefan Petriuk's "POLSKA POCZTA do 1875" is his display of the Polish Post to 1875. Just download this & drool at your leisure.

"Monographie" has three serious studies of the stamp & its era. Polanski's book was the only study available for many a year, though long out of print. The section from "Polskie Znaki Pocztowe" published on the centenary of the stamp's issue, was the first easily available study for many collectors, whilst Bojanowicz's book publishes his studies on the subject although, unfortunately for English speaking collectors, this is the Polish version, my copy is in English.

All of these are available to download as PDFs
