What is significant about the difference in spacing between the words "Future Delivery" on these two Documentary stamps? Thanks.

First of all the 20¢ stamp is RC5 in the Scott U.S. Specialized; your pictured 1¢ is Scott RCC22. The narrow spacing only occurs on the 1¢ and 80¢ denominations. The 80¢ is known on both the wide spacing (Scott RC9) and the narrow spacing is RC23. The narrow spacing on RC22-23 were a later issue, probably in the mid-1920's.
