HI From The Netherlands

Hello everybody,

My name is Jules and I'm from the Netherlands.
I've been a bit hesitant to join any stamp forum, but this one seems very nice and helpful.

I collect Vatican city (1852-2000) and the Netherlands (1852-1948).
But I love the stamps with a pressed-in relief.

I first became a stamp collector in the 50s. I can still picture the ubiquitous 10-cent yellow-orange stamp with a lady on the front that came in my first ever box of stamps at Christmas time so many years ago. It was one of the most common stamps in the box. Like so many other stamps, it led me to search out a bit about the person depicted on the stamp. The lady, of course, was Queen Wilhelmina ... a truly remarkable woman & monarch.

Very beautiful story, my first stamp was the pope pius XI pink stamp.
Since then I've been collecting stamps from the Vatican.
