I guess I should introduce myself a little. I'm really a picture postcard collector and the postcard forums on this board are the real reason why I joined. It is an easy way for me to share some images I like, hopefully and pester people with questions. I have several topics of obsessive focus and then lots of general interests. I've let my sub to Barrs go, but subscribe to Mekeels and I joined APS. I've been collecting postcards for about 20 years.
I've also become interested in postmarks and general postal history. I am fascinated by the old cork postmarks I pull from $1 boxes alongside postcards.
For reason I won't get into I collect a small slice of Guatemala philately 1935-1939.
Here is one of my favorite NYC postcards, an old Hagemeister postally used in 1907- cheers! Jim
