Type II 1868:Only in Blue on Blue Triangle

Stamps with Type III"Aynaroz" on the 1884 issues:

Forgeries:
The triangle ovpt. cannot be found on stamps with the "Aynaroz"Type III cancel.
Large quantities of forgeries;were the forgers used circular cancels from other post-offic's
in European Turkey and even the rectangular postmarks from Turkey (Asia).
(rectangular postmarks on these stamps are forgeries)

The letter pi narrow.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Conclusion; The triangle ovpt. made it's appearance at some time around 1868? but was used during
the period up too the 1883 Type III cancel. Most of the religious symbolism in the triangle has
now been debunked. The triangle ovpt. only certified that the stamps were from the official
post-office stamp stocks and not those brought in from outside Mont Athos.
Later use of these ovpt's were just bogus additions too stamps.
