actually, I am not really a new member... I have been a member here for quite some time, however until now purely passive. I have visited this forum from time to time, and will continue to do so in the future. So it is really time to introduce myself. I am a worldwide collector, collecting since my childhood, that is for more than forty years now, with varying intensity. My collection has become somewhat comprehensive, but hardly systematic, except for a few areas of Germany - but also here, I am a pure collector, not an ambitious philatelist. US stamps, however, have not got much attention by me so far, but maybe this will change some time. Anyway, I hope that I can learn here more (I am sure I can), and maybe contribute from time to time, even if most topics here are not really areas where I have advanced knowledge. In any case, I enjoy the world wide contact with other collectors, that's why I am here in the forum.

Happy to have you with us. Glad that you like it enough to have stayed around so long. I do hope you start collecting some USA stamps - I've got some extras....
