Hi perf12
Thanks for a quick response... could you elaborate a bit on what gives them away?

I have not worked on or seen my EGYPT collection in 5 years ,but those first issues look wrong . The overprints are too heavy and stamps have a poor background design .
I'll wait to see whats others say . |

For instance here is your 4.2. A real stamp on the left. You can see that your stamp is a forgery (ovpt. included). Check the details and it becomes very evident.Your stamp was trimmed to make beleive it is an imperf variety. (old trick) photo from Kelleher Auction; Imperf between |

Your no.7 is authentic ! Details are the same.just a couple ;there are many.(Have too look closely at the stamp too see if its not an ink jet printing)just an after thought.. Photo Feldman Auction 2016,this one is imperf. |

Hi Perf12
Thanks for the reply very enlightening... didn't think of inkjet printer... but it would make sense with tha pale color. The stamp have the correct watermark though! I don't know how much effort would be put in it if the stamp was made with a printer or how difficault it is to fake watermarks?
Any thoughts on the rest?
Henrik :-) |

Thank you Perf12
Very interesting.. unfortunately I cannot make a match between my stamp and one of the 10 types. Also the overprint does not match. But I find it very difficult to do the matching so maybe om wrong??
