Here is an envelope with a stamp I bought from Weeda Stamp Co.
I noticed the cancel was a Weeda Stamp Co. cancel...Not what was I thought was registered Canada Post , postal station...Any thoughts on this cancel.

Robert

I must admit this company mailed my stamp below in and envelope inside was my stamp enclosed in plastic, inside the plastic my stamp was enclosed in a folded 81/2 X 11 paper, inside my stamp was enclosed in folded cardboard, and inside my stamp was enclosed in a 102B card...This is a company that cares.

Nice buy..EH (as Canadians would say)

Very nice cover! So, I guess the question is, is it legal to cancel your own "first class" mail, or is it just tolerated by the postal people? It probably depends on the country.

Here is a similar item...not as nice as yours. Obviously I should have left it on the cover. It was on mail from the Schlitt Stamp Auction Co. and was mailed to the late Al Jaeger.

Could it be that they have a mailer's permit and their own cancellation device? We have them in the U.S., but uncertain of Canada.

Also, your stamps have a DATED cancellation which shows that they paid the postage at that time. Very nice.

I cannot recall if the Berlin stamp was merely a decoration, or an advertisement for Schlitt Auctions, or actually paid postage, since Berlin stamps were invalid after Dec. 31, 1991.
