Good Morning,

I'm having a difficult time identifying this stamp as I see examples for this stamp in both #10 and #11... I don't understand the differences.

Please help identify.

Thanks!

This stamp is a Type I, Scott #11 from Plate 6 or 7.

The differences between Scott #10 and #11 is color and plate.

Scott #10/10A comes from Plates 1E, 1i, 2E, 5E, and 0.

Scott #11/11A comes from Plates 1L, 2L, 3, 4, 5L, 6, 7, and 8.

There are many examples of Scott #10/10A that are not very good examples of the orange brown color but are still considered to be the orange brown, Scott #10/10A.

You can also find orange brown stamps printed from the 11/11A plates but they are still considered to be 11/11A.

That would be a good one to plate...you have a portion of 3 stamps to right and below of the stamp which rules out right column and bottom row of left and right sides of each plate! Also, the little rise in the top frame near the end on the right (above E in postage) will help plate it. Platers thoughts?
