Thanks for the reply and link, I will upload some single scans, there are more stamps other than what I've listed. |

I need to see a much larger and clearer scan to see if those Dragon stamps are forgeries . Even those scans on pages that are link here are too small to make a judgment call. As discussed the CD's from the Japanese Society are need to make a final opinion . |

Jony78; just looking at your 200mon it's a forgery.floortraders example is a fake also. The central character is too square and should be more rectangular in shape (vertical direction). The dragons hairs do not touch the left ornaments. The right frames doubled are non existant in the genuine stamps....ect 80% of the time a fake is easy too identify. You don't need CD's for this stuff.Save your money unless you want to specialize.

"You don't need CD'S for this stuff " ----I hope we are not sending the wrong message . It is always better to have people buy their own research and reference information . Depending on someone on a chat board is the wrong message if they don't have the material and depend on someones website as their opinion . |

Here is an example of what Japanese Philately is about: Translated from: http://yosukenaito.blog40.fc2.com/b...gory-13.htmlThis is a postal matter dispatched from Mizukuchi Postal Service Center to Mr. Otsu on March 3, 1871 (April 22, 1871. The date is generally the lunar calendar in principle), issued on March 1 One sentence of 100 Ryugo stamps that have just been made is affixed. This postal item was put on the delivery route departing Tokyo from March 1st on the first day of postal founding and delivered by water outlet in the course of it, it is the oldest example after the establishment of the modern post in Japan It is known as a masterpiece of the Temashi collection. You can just go to page 390 for the full scope of literature about these stamps. https://stamps.org/userfiles/file/l...scoIndex.pdf |
