German Overprint "Wir Sind Frei!" On Hetuva 15 Centu - Identification?

Good Morning,

I have a German overprint "Wir sind frei!" on Hetuva 15 centu but don't have a resource for identification. Please let me know what the catalog number is - my notes were "Memel 1939" and "Not listed $35" but I don't have a resource to confirm any of that information.

Switzerland? Try Lithuania instead, I believe it is indeed a Memel local overprint on a Lithuania 15 c. stamp, ( 1939 ).

Under the W are the letter L and I the country being Lietuva or Lithuania in English.

Hi,
According to Michel catalogue this overprint on Lithuania 273 , 288 and 289 (yours) is not official and is nothing but a private making.
Only overprint "Memelland ist frei" on Lituania 425/8 is official.
