Found this while cleaning out my parents old house. It's in a package that appears to be from previous sale.

I've found a few online that look similar but the prices are all over the place.

Any input?

Thanks

This is not a stamp. This is called a "cut square" and it is from a pre-stamped envelope. These are very difficult to identify due to the different dies used in printing. I'd imagine the value is minimal.

My guess: Scotts U277 cv is 0.50 USD, Hard to imagine something that old (130+ years), so fragile, and in such good condition worth so little!

Thanks for the responses.

What is the best way to identify the die that was used? From further research it appears that is a big deal. To my uneducated eye they all look the same but from the listings online there are wide ranges.

Thanks
