Hi I am trying to help my dad. He has an old VTEK magnifier and the monitor went out. Does anyone know where to get repaired or can you recommend something new.

Looks like an old school hi optics machine. Found this searching under CTI VTEK. But it appears the co. may be out of business.

There are others much cheaper, some that would require a laptop or computer and software installation / setup.

Google digital microscope or digital microscope with monitor.

That monitor is an analog tube monitor, similar to your OLD TV sets using CRT (cathode ray tube).

Rather than shipping that heavy, fragile item to the manufacture, I would find an old electrics/TV repair shop locally to take a look. Usually, it's a just part or two inexpensive components that need to be replaced.
