I think he got a good price for it.

What bothers me is what lot #31 got.
Listed at $85, sold at $1900. WOW.
The block of 4 in that corner would not have gotten that.
That encourages cutting up and damaging stamps for grade.

That stamp also has the added bonus of being a corner copy, which actually does bring a few more people into play.

I agree that it is regrettably obviously contrived, and that is too bad.
