Old Schaubeks Briefmarken Album Auction On Goodwill

I'm wondering why the price is so high. I don't know a lot about WW, (working on it) but I have seen many of these Germany stamps in other albums. Am I missing some more valuable stamps, or is it Schaubek so someone is hoping for hidden surprises? I wouldn't bet on that, listing says about 100 stamps. Maybe it's the album itself, but it looks to be in pretty sad shape.

I'd say someone is taking a gamble hoping something might turn up. Old Schaubeks can be a bit of a goldmine from what I've seen over the years. If it's not been picked over then it's probably worth the gamble I'd say.

For some reason these goodwill lots go for way more than they're worth. I've seen $5 lots go for $60.

The description says it is "full of stamps" and later "contains over 100 stamps". I counted about 130 stamps just on the pages shown. If it is really close to full (stamps from most countries)then it might have a few 1000 stamps and a few might be good. That is probably what the high bidders are hoping.
I would have taken a shot at $40 + shipping but not any more. I agree with stallzer, it is hard to find a bargain on Goodwill.

I see what you mean about prices on goodwill. Maybe people are willing to gamble because even it doesn't pay off its for a good cause.

IDK, but with those prices I wish I could sell my accumulated junk stamps on their website.
