Hi all,
i would like to send some of my us stamps to PSE for cert and grading...but I am in Europe.
their web forms for sending them in are just for US based clients.
there must be someone on this forum that has done this and I would really appreciate some guidance

Hi Dutch. Your question has been asked before. If you really want to go this route the safest way to send you stamps would be by FedEx

i tried the search option with variations of pse outside usa and could not find anything.
fedex is ok, what form to fill out...or better, how to fill out the mandatory form that does not allow to choose a country |

I think the question is whether PSE actually provides a service to non-US-based collectors. |

they do, and explain you need a fed ex account on their website. BUT looks like the form does not allow to choose country.
if some on this forum send in before, would be great to know how. |

Perhaps worth bearing in mind that the PF seems to have a rather higher reputation than PSE. |

Rather than speculate endlessly here, why not phone PSE and ask for Kristine Schilling, Operations Manager? They provide contact information for questions, why not use it. Email: pse@psestamp.com Phone: +1-702-776-6522 Ring at 19:00 CEST and you are likely to reach someone. The time difference is CEST -9 hours.

just spoke with her. cjpalermo1964, thank you for this most simple solution. feel kinda stupid now I didnt just think of this.
the way is:
print a blank form from website and kinda just squeeze in the country where the address is.
if it does not work, I can call her back and she will assist me |

I didn't send any stamps to USA, but not because of the difficulty at PSE or PF, but because of the sending itself. If you don't have a certificate yet and neither an invoice for this specific stamp, there is no insurance at all. So if the letter is lost, the stamps and its (possible) value is lost. I know FedEx is a good choice and rarely something is lost, but still I had my doubts until now. So maybe your example will show me how and that it works :). Let us know how you sent it then with FedEx, always interesting for everybody here.
I also wonder (and mentioned it at SCF several times) why the address of PSE and PF is not a more neutral one, but indicates the "stamp" or "philatelic" in the address line, which is just an invitation for everybody looking for valuable letters. But this is something probably nobody else but me cares about :). my suggestion would be just writing "PF" or "PSE" on the letter, but then it perhaps won't arrive (?). |

I routinely address my packets to "PSE", rather than spelling it all out, and have never had a problem with it arriving.

thank you, would be interesting if "PF" also arrives, perhaps someboday has tried this also?
In any case you have to have some confidence to send the stamps over the ocean where the way is much longer and many more people involved, including maybe customs duty, than all you sending from inside the US. |

I've also sent items to the PF - just writing "PF" rather than spelling it out, and they've also always arrived, no problem.
